Hi there,
I have installed the ipod2 on my iphone, and uninstalled, and the bug got me.
I have installed the iPodFix, and uninstalled twice, but with no result.
There is anything you can do for me?
thx

The fix installs an original copy of the file that gets replaced by the tweak. I’m at a loss as to why replacing it wouldn’t fix your problem.

Well, if helps you, i was using installer v.3.0b8 when i installed the ipod2.
so, i could not upgrade Installer, because i have already the last copy of it.
If there is any other procedure of how to fix it, i could try it.
or maybe, i could reinstall or Restore the iphone, but i don’t know witch of them will lock it again.

Installer.app 3.0b8 does not even have the bug in question. I am running that on a 1.1.1 iPhone and I just successfully installed and uninstalled the iPod2 tweak.
If it doesn’t work for you, then it’s because your iPhone is messed up in some other way. My recommendation would be to do a full restore of 1.1.1 and then go to http://jailbreakme.com to get started on putting your applications back on it.

That’s a good question and one I don’t have the answer to, perhaps the FAQ at that site can help you.

Hi Ste,
I can’t seem to find any of your package on my installer (3.0b8, firmware 1.1.1). I have already uninstalled/installed community sources several times.
In the sources menu your repo shows up as “Untitled Source” (http://psmxy.org/iphone-apps/).
Any idea?
Thanks…

There were some issues with my repository yesterday, as I tried to make a switch back to using PHP (which failed miserably).
I would 1) manually remove that odd-looking entry for me 2) remove the Community Sources package 3) exit Installer.app 4) run Installer.app 5) refresh Installer.app (press the Refresh button on the Sources page) 5) install the Community Sources package 6) refresh Installer.app one more time.
Let me know if that helps or not.

I tried the steps you suggested but still couldn’t get it to work. I am still getting the Untitled Source entry… :(
I’d like to try adding your repository manually to the Sources page, what URL should I use? Thx!

To add to my previous comment, I’ve since manually edited the PackageSource.plist file with these info (found on the net):
category
Community Sources
contact
ste@psmxy.org
description
No more iPHUCing around.
location
http://psmxy.org/iphone-apps/
maintainer
Ste
name
Ste Packaging
url
http://psmxy.org/iphone-apps/info/
So now it looks correct in the Sources page, but I am still not getting any of your apps. I’ve also found some forum posts describing the same problem I am having.
Could it be problem with the latest ver. of Installer (3.0b8)? Any help is really appreciated!

That looks right to me. I had this exact same problem myself, after I uninstalled and reinstalled the Community Sources package. I told Nullriver about it. They said they fixed it and in 3.0b8 it worked for me again. I’ll mention it to them again, but aside from that there’s nothing I can do.

Hi Ste, thanks for you help. I have finally gotten it to work. Likely culprit turns out to be my ISP’s stubborn cache. I tried it today over EDGE and it worked!
