I’ve added/updated the following software packages for the iPhone:

A while back, I upgraded my personal iPhone to 1.1.1, jailbroke it and installed various applications. Later, I bought the Apple Bluetooth Headset and when I went to turn bluetooth on, on the iPhone, I discovered that it wouldn’t - it would just sit there and spin. I was afraid I was going to have to donwgrade back to 1.0.2, do a restore then start all over with the upgrade and jailbreak - something I was not looking forward to doing. It had also been suggested that I might need to reflash the baseband to fix it.

It turns out, thanks to a suggestion by LG over at Nullriver, that all I had to do was delete /var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.BTServer.plist and reboot.

Bluetooth starts now and the headset works great. :)

I am making some changes to the server, which may cause some downtime, possibly for as long as three hours or so. Please be patient.

Both the Installer.app respository website and this blog’s website have been running as the same user. My memory allotment on the shared hosting server is user-based, so I’m changing the repository website to run as a different user, to isolate each site’s memory usage from the other. This will help each run smoother. My apologies for any inconvenience the switch over causes.
