iPhone and iPod Touch application and package updates …

March 10th, 2008 by Ste

I’ve just added and/or updated the following application packages for the iPhone & iPod Touch:

NOTE: Assume that Installer.app, version 3.0 (or higher - and NOT 3.0b followed by a number), is required for proper installation of all packages I produce.

  1. [new] iPray (1.0 beta) [A much improved replacement for iAthan. Is 1.1.4 compatible.]
  2. [del] iAthan [Obsoleted by iPray.]
  3. [upd] Ants (1.2.0-1) [Fixed a (no pun intended) bug in the update and uninstall sections of the plist.]
  4. [upd] iEatHalal (0.02 beta) [Minor bug fixes.]
  5. [upd] Simplify Media Mobile (1.0 alpha (Build: 937)) [See developer's notes, below.]
  6. [upd] Sand (1.1-1) [Fixed a typo in the install section of the plist.]
  7. [upd] DropCopy (0.46) [Bug fixes. Adds 1.1.4 compatibility.]
  8. [upd] MPG (1.0.1) [Added Spanish and Portuguese translations. New icon. Bug fixes.]

Simplify Media Mobile notes:

  • Added view by artist, view by album, view by genre
  • Added a-z vertical sidebar for long lists
  • Improved scrolling and playback speed
  • Fixed several bugs
  • This build is recommended for all iPhone and iPod Touch users with 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 firmware. Note: immediately after installing and starting Simplify Media for the first time, the application will create and cache a list of all available remote songs. While this list assembles, navigation and playback may be sluggish. This initial process typically takes a few minutes to complete.
